πŸ‘‰ Use your finger on your iPhone screen as you follow along. Do each action three times to build confidence.

  1. Tap
  • Action: Lightly touch your finger once on the screen.
  • Try it on: The Phone app (green icon with a phone).
  • Practice: Open and close the Phone app 3 times.
  1. Double Tap
  • Action: Quickly tap the screen twice in the same spot.
  • Try it on: A photo in your Photos app.
  • Practice: Double tap a photo to zoom in, double tap again to zoom out.
  1. Swipe
  • Action: Place your finger on the screen, slide it in one direction, then lift.
  • Try it on: Swipe left or right to move between screens of apps.
  • Practice: Swipe left until you reach the last screen, then swipe right to return.
  1. Swipe Down
  • Action: Start near the top of the screen, slide down.
  • Try it on: From the Home screen, swipe down to open Search.
  • Practice: Type the first letter of β€œMessages” and open the app.
  1. Pinch & Zoom
  • Action: Place two fingers on the screen. Spread them apart to zoom in, pinch them together to zoom out.
  • Try it on: A photo in the Photos app.
  • Practice: Zoom in on a picture, then zoom back out.
